Timetabling the work
Most children like, and benefit from routine, therefore we suggest trying to stick to a set structure when completing the work. Using the structure below may be useful or you may choose to be more specific to include times depending on other routines which will impact how and when you engage in the tasks.

Where to find the work
All the learning from home documents are saved on the school website under 'Teaching & Learning' then the year group for your child.

The work provided in the Learning Grids is arranged into year groups and the work is pitched at ‘Age Related Expectation’ (ARE). The tasks are designed to recap and consolidate existing learning, not necessarily to teach the children new concepts. If your child is working above ARE, please feel free to explore the tasks in the year group above. Likewise, if your child struggles engaging with the tasks as they are too difficult, please aim your child’s work at the learning grids for the year group below. Please contact your child’s classteacher so they can direct you if you are not sure.
Recording the Work
The weekly Learning Grids will be uploaded onto the school website in the Year Group section. The document will consist of the Learning Grid, which provides brief summaries of the tasks followed by the work, templates etc. in the same order as the tasks on the grid. The work can be printed out and then completed directly onto the pack or the Homework exercise books can be used. Some of the work completed will need to be uploaded onto Seesaw for the teacher to view. EYFS parents can post their child’s learning onto Tapestry or record in their books.
Other Learning Options
In addition to the learning grids, there is a list of useful websites which promote different aspects of learning which you can access by clicking on the link below. As well as the website, we will also be sharing further opportunities for learning on our Facebook page.
